I don't know of any tuning machines that are an exact fit replacement for the FG180, but on my guitar I used the Grover Sta-Tite V97C open gear tuners and the screw hole spacing, and string post all line up perfectly.
You'll of course see an indent in the back of the headstock where your old tuning machines were, but you don't have to fill or drill holes.
I have the same tuners sitting here for another project!! Mine are V97-18A (18:1 ratio). Fortunately my FG-150 & FG-150 have good working tuners.
Did you buy them off StewMac? I almost bought them, but one thing that I noticed is that while the screw hole spacing is accurate, the spacing from the bottom screw to the center of the string post is not what is needed to have an exact match without having to drill holes. The bottom screw to center post spacing is 8 mm on that model come up but I believe you need and 10.15 mm spacing with a .4mm tolerance.
So double check the fit, you might have to fill and drill new screw holes. I was just being totally anal retentive and didn't want to have to drill anything. Which sucks because I really wanted that particular set of tuning machines with how precision they are.
