RARE Black & White Vintage Yamaha FG's

I have a black FM 340 with white scratch guard made in Taiwan.
The label is oval and a light brown paper bag color.

I don't have any history on this particular axe as my wife's deceased uncle John gave it to me about 20 years back.
These were meant to be an affordable acoustic more for bedroom hacks such as myselfish and beginners and as such were moderately priced, however, I've only played a few of this model and I can only base my opinion on these few examples, but they were all excellent guitars!!

I have several acoustic and electric axes currently and all of them with one exception, my Epiphone Excellente, are moderately priced but all underappreciated in my humble, totally 100% correct opinion!! The Excellente is as named, freaking excellent!! This is such an awesome and rare acoustic which 90% of guitar players I know, or follow on line have never heard of!!

It cost $2,000 CDN dollars including tax and is worth every last penny!! In fact, if I had to find a replacement outside the Epiphone label I would need to slap down $4,000 - $5,000, NO BS! These axes are like "buddah" in your hands and my personal preference as far as tone, is rich, middle tone and the Excellente is the closest to my preference I've ever found.

Back to the Yamaha FG 340 - My FG 340 is right up there with my Excellente, no exageration I absolutely love her!! Whoever built this axe was having a great day! I've written dozens of songs on her and took her onto stages in fleabag shyte holes as well as historic theaters such as Massie Hall in Toronto and she has NEVER let me down! She stays in tune all day long and she has that rich middle tone that drives the ladies berserk!!!

OK, I may have embellished on the driving ladies thing, but this axe compliments my vocal tone as though it was custom made to do so!!

I bought a $25 cheese grater acoustic back in the mid 1970's not knowing the action wasn't meant to be ten inches above the frets!! My folks promised if I kept up with guitar after a year they would buy me whatever acoustic I wanted within reason.

My brother in law who's 17 years older than me, got me into guitar and showed me a few basic chords, took me downtown Toronto to a famous guitar shop "The Trading Post" and we went through numerous acoustics and to my despair, I didn't like any of them!

That's when Joe (bro-in-law) grabbed one from the top level and handed it to me. It took exactly one chord and I knew this was it!! And it was!! I played and played and played teaching myself and learning mostly Beatles and classic rock in general, and it was like night and day from the grungy cheese grater!!

I said "this is the one...can I have this one? Is this too expensive"? My Dad was a WWII veteran and managed to somehow survive multiple up close and personal battles and my mother did her part in assembling bomb components.
They understood the value of a dollar and also understood how very precious life is. 

The current generation of mindless automatons could learn from their experiences except that part of our history has been expunged from the history books as our children are being dumbed down and sissified wholesale!
So, I was expecting "no, too expensive. Try another, cheaper one" But to my surprise Joe was told to help me find a quality instrument which would last me all my life, and that's exactly what I found!

OK, I know the suspense is killin yus!!
It was a Yamaha FG 365S and she was absolutely awesome!! I was 12 when I got her, and at 15 I stupidly traded it for an electric LP copy and to give you an idea of how "awesome" that LP copy was - I can't remember what brand it was and I have no idea where it went or when it went!!

I WILL get another one dammut!

I have a FG-335 II BK, I assume 1984 but I'm not for sure on the year. Black and white, pretty good condition.
