I was given a FG 345 that the neck was broken at the curve of the heel. I glued it back together as tight as possible, but now the fret board and bridge are out of line and the action is quite high. Is there any hope for the guitar or should I be better served finding a new one? There's no sentimental attachment so I don't want to dump a lot of money into it.

High action is common with 45 year old guitars, from 45 years of string tension pulling the neck up. A broken heel isn't quite as common, but it happens. The only right was to fix it is to remove the neck, pin the break from the inside, and do a neck reset to fix the angle. I've done a few. But the repair is very expensive, far more than the guitar is worth.
