He are some before and after pictures of my 1968 ? FG 300 red label. I took it to a local luthier here in Jacksonville Fl. The pick guard had completely deteriorated, a section of the neck binding was missing, and the tune-o-matic bridge was not in the best shape. I found a replica pick guard on reverb, and it was very accurate replica. I wanted to leave the original bridge on and just have a piece made to fill the gap from the removal of the tune-o-matic, but he made a completely new bridge based of the original. The new bridge did change the sound...but for the better. All the sound you are use to hearing is still there, It has a warmer, 60's folk jangle to it. All and all I am 90% happy with the job done.
